This was our first video of Marley May.

Apparently Amanda got strep some time between Ashlyn's and Marley's births. The doctors want to keep them up at the hospital for the rest of today to make sure everything checks out. By some means SID is related to strep. I'm sure it will all be fine. That's the update as of this morning.

Marley May

This morning Amanda laid an egg! Out popped a 6 lb. 10 oz. Marley May, 19" long. From Amanda's first contraction to the first breath of Marley, about 5 1/2 hrs. went by. Both mother and daughter are doing well.

The biggest heartache came when Ashlyn realized that she had to watch Finding Nemo with somebody else, besides Dad.

37 1/2 weeks! Yay! But not many pictures of me....haha

We bought Ashlyn 3 goldfish for her Valentine's Day present and she just absolutely is fascinated with them! She feeds them twice a day and watches them constantly! Her favorite movie right now is "Finding Nemo" which she watches some of every single day. If I try to put Elmo on, she starts screaming. Haha, and she loves going to aquariums. When we were in Hawaii for Thanksgiving, we went to one and she just stared at the fish for a good half an hour. She loves them.

Ashlyn has really started enjoying looking at books. I caught her in her little baby cradle the other day with "Pinkalicious."

We've decided to start a new tradition on Saturdays, now that it's warming up. We take our dogs out to the butte, or somewhere really open, so that we can play fetch with them and just let them run around. Ashlyn loves being outside so she really enjoyed it this last Saturday. We also took a picnic out and ate on the tailgate of the truck. Don't I look huge! Haha, we're getting close with this next little one! March 30th is the due date so I'm about 37 1/2 weeks! Yay!

My gerber daisy! I was soooo excited! I usually kill plants, and this one was just on it's death bed when I decided to start watering it. I didn't know that gerber daisy's bloomed more than once so when it bloomed again I was so excited!

Ashlyn loves this hat that usually is on her wall but hasn't been put up yet since I've been waiting to paint her room. In this picture, she's also praying:) Haha.

On Monday, I painted a wall in our house red. Ashlyn was feeling a little left out when she woke up so for Family Home Evening that night, we sang her new favorite song, "Popcorn popping on the Apricot Tree," to which she knows all the actions:), and did some finger painting! It was a lot of fun. We made lots of pictures to give to Mimi and Pop-pop, Halmoni & Fluffy, and Aunt Samye.

Making cookies!

Well, this has been my first whole week being a stay at home mom! I have to say, it's had its highs and lows for sure, but it has overall been absolutely wonderful staying home with little Ashlyn. We've been really busy and I think that she's been going through a growth spurt, but nonetheless, we were able to make cookies! Thursday morning we didn't have anything planned before Jared got home for lunch so we stayed in our PJ's, watched Nemo, and then made some delightful cookies:) It was so fun, she helped me pour all the ingredients into the bowl and mix them with the hand mixer. She loved it. Here are some really fun pictures:)

You can already tell she is her mama's girl! Love, love, LOVE cookie dough! Ashlyn was so excited that she started eating it even before the flour was mixed in completely:)
Ashlyn mixing all by herself.
After the dough was all mixed and she was helping me put them on the cookie sheet, this is what I caught her doing.....haha, good thing they're just baby germs:)
Alas, a perfect batch of cookies! This wasn't all of them, but can I just tell you, I have the HARDEST time making cookies! Seriously, just ask Jared. They are not my strongest cooking skill and so to get a whole batch that looks like these, I was ecstatic!!! They're usually really flat and burned.....
Ashlyn and I after eating some of the cookies.
Ashlyn helping to clean up afterwards.
She had on the cutest outfit today and I made her a really cute bow to match, couldn't resist taking a picture.

Besides making cookies, we've:
Fed the ducks
Got my hair cut
Dyed my hair
Cut more hair off
Gone walking
Read books
Lounged in our PJ's
Watched a movie in the mornings
Gone to a doctors appointment
Went over to Halmoni and Grandpa's
Gone to a basketball game
Helped Jared with school work (haha, not really)
Folded laundry
Done the dishes
Cleaned the house
Attempted to shovel the driveway, then decided against it
Played with all of Ashlyn's toys
Played the piano
Colored
Played with playdough
Gone to a play-group
Made a valentine craft (still in the process)
Laughed a lot
Eaten a lot
Slept a lot
Hmmmmm.................I'm sure that I've left some things out, not really that exciting for everyone else to read, but we've had a blast!

FOR THE LADIES!

Haha, remember this ladies? Ok, so this was last year because I wasn't prego but our computer randomly flashes pictures in the background and this one popped up and I couldn't stop laughing for like 10 minutes! And I didn't post about it either:)

Too much fun

Christmas this year was so much fun. We were sad that we didn't get to see any of Jared's family, but it was great to be with mine. Here are some pictures from Christmas and some pictures from today, big update!

My little sister, Sammy, and her boyfriend, Bodey, went up to Washington for Christmas this year so these pictures are from the Sunday before Christmas. We exchanged our gifts and had a nice breakfast.

Here is Ashlyn carrying around her puppy-in-a-purse that Sammy got for her, totally Legally Blonde! haha.

Vanna White, I know:)

The school that I teach at had a Christmas program in which all the teachers sang the song "Grown up Christmas List" to all the kids. It was really cute.

Jared got to open his big present early because he was putting shelves up in the garage and he was trying to saw the shelf with a hand saw! It was painful for me to watch, so I was merciful and gave him his electric round saw (I think that's what it's called).

Christmas morning with Ashlyn was such a blast! I was so excited for her to open up all of her presents (even though I knew what most of them were:). Our house quickly became a disaster after she opened all of our presents up. She got a baby doll to help prepare her for this next one, along with a baby stroller and a diaper bag for it. Then she got a farm set and lots of clothes! Jared made me a beautiful decoration for Ashlyn's and Marley's room that says "Mother" on it. Of course I started crying! Did you have to ask? :)
Ashlyn feeding her new baby doll:)

Our dog captain, begging to come in the house.......don't even think about it!

We decided to go sledding with my family early afternoon on Christmas and it was so fun! Of course, I only went down a couple of times because my belly is so huge it was really uncomfortable:) This is my mom with Ashlyn. I think my mom is one of the most beautiful ladies in the whole world.
Here's my dad with his mad bomber hat on:)

Wyatt and Jared trying to look cool.

Cody with Ashlyn.

This is what became of Ashlyn after Jared let her go down by herself:) She was sitting up to start with......

This was Ashlyn's first sledding trip and it was so fun!

After sledding, everyone came over to our house to see what Ashlyn got for Christmas. Of course, Ashlyn's favorite thing was my 12 new pairs of socks which she insisted on putting on. They look more like leg warmers on her:).

New Year's Even, Ashlyn and me watching Elmo, waiting to go to Jared's cousin's house for dinner.

New Year's Day, we went sledding again and this time it really took it out of Ashlyn, she fell asleep in about 2 minutes on the way home!

I love these pictures because Ashlyn is laying on Jared in the one and then in the other, she's sitting on his face. Haha, they were watching family videos and Ashlyn loves watching herself, it's so funny.

Ashlyn has recently taken up coloring, and for Christmas from her daycare, she got this HUGE coloring book with crayons. The crayons don't always end up on the paper though, I was doing laundry for like 5 minutes and turned around to find that Ashlyn had colored all over the tile in our kitchen, on the refrigerator, and was pursuing a wall in the back room! I couldn't be mad at her though because she just looked so cute! And she didn't know any better so I've just been making sure to keep close tabs on the crayons.

So today, I was straightening up the front of our house for a few minutes and I came to our back room where Ashlyn had been playing. She loves these scrap booking foam letters that I have so she scattered them all over the room and was throwing them everywhere. I found a basket later that had some of these in there. I dumped them out and discovered that they were all # 8's! I went to the back room and started looking on the floor to find any more but she had found all of the # 8's and put them in this green basket! I couldn't believe it! She's too smart for her own good:)
