Well, Jared has been gone for the last few days and here are some things that we've been up to...... :)

Our Carrot Family: Mommy, Daddy, Alan, Ashlyn, and Marley

"Flowers for my Daddy!"

New matching hats on the back steps, and getting along! Hooray!

We went to a little nursery/family farm area with some of our friends and had so much fun! This is Marley trying to go through the hay maze. Not impressed obviously.....haha

Ashlyn driving the boat with Collin

Making their way through the maze

Feeding the sheep? Goat?

Ashlyn and Collin

Hanging out at home: the girls LOVED the diapers from Costco!

Ashlyn's very beautiful caterpillar that she drew all by herself :) (the long one in the background, the ugly one with round body pieces is mine).

"What did you just say Mommy?"

Hya!!! For some reason Ashlyn has been in this Kung-Fu mode everytime we break out the camera :)

Emptying the toy box.....oh the joy

Ashlyn's 3rd Birthday!!!
Ashlyn and Marley are both obsessed with giraffes, (mainly because I love them too), so for birthdays, Jared's sister sends the cutest giraffe stuff she can find! This is Ashlyn's new pink giraffe shirt, her favorite color, and her favorite animal, score!

Ashlyn got a basketball hoop for her birthday. "You gotta start them while their young babe," says my hubby :) They both love it, actually, we all love it.

Ashlyn also got a princess dress up box for her birthday which she absolutely LOVES because she is obsessed with wearing dresses at all times of the day (and night) and she loves princesses. It's hard to keep up with all the outfits she goes through in a day!

We had some of our friends over for a party which was super fun! Lot's of little girls! 3 boys got to come too :)

Of course, all the kids want to help open presents :)

My friend, Kelli, SCORED, with this doll because Ashlyn's new favorite movie is "Tangled," and she wants to grow her hair out very, very long.

Family pictures with Alan
I cried like a baby when he left :(

We have so many fun, fun memories with Alan and Ashlyn, Marley, Jared, and I are so sad that he is gone, he just became part of the family. Marley is very sad in this picture, but she loved to cuddle with Alan, that's how you know he's part of the family :)

An amazing woman

An amazing woman.

Happy Wednesday Amanda! I'm sending this to you via my smart phone from my air mattress in Kellogg Idahon. It is now almost 1 in the morning, and I've still got guys blowing up their air mattresses.....oh to be the shaperone (sp) of a bunch of high school boys.
I just thought I'd let you know of some of the things I learned at camp so far to help shown appreciation for you letting me come.
1. Things aren't always as bad as they seem. Despite a lot of negatives and points or criticisms...my basketball team is growing closer together and getting better. I would love to have a team full of athletes who new how to play the game.
2. Advice from reliant resources makes difficult situations more bearable.  There are a lot of coaches here with quite abfew year of experience under their belt.  In B basketball, you won't find a coach who hasn't had an experience similarity mine starting out in Darrington.
3. I love my wife. Like you said....this is probably the maximum amount of time that I care to stay away from you.
You are my biggest fan, supporter, counselor, person. You are my everything!
What do you think?
P.s.
I love you!

Life will be life

Well, life will be life, and it is whatever you put into it. Sometimes, I think, "Wow, things are going so great, I'm doing everything right, my family is happy, etc," and then slowly, I start to become unperfect (haha, alright, you all have to admit that sometimes, you feel like you're doing an awesome job!) and I get very cranky and nothing seems to be working out the way it should and Ashlyn poops in her pants and Marley's cutting a tooth and I find out that I'm pregnant and Jared doesn't know if he'll have a job next year and Alan's leaving in a few days, etc. Anyways, isn't that how it always goes? Haha, the Lord has to remind me that I'm not in control of everything and sometimes it is just really hard. Seriously, I don't know why I'm writing this, but even when things are......... difficult, to say the least, I just have to remember that life is so good for me and for my family and that I'm so blessed. I'm so blessed to have a healthy, loving family that's there for me through everything and friends who care about me and love me even when I'm witchy :) Thanks for being so great to me and putting up with my blogging lapses :).
So today was Ashlyn's 3rd Birthday! But I don't have pictures on my computer yet, I'll get those up soon. Happy 3rd Ashlyn! We love you soooooo much and are so happy that you are a part of our life :)
Here are some pictures from the month of May that are soooo fun! It was a crazy fun, crazy BUSY month and I'm kind of glad that it's over but I wouldn't have traded it for anything.

Sammy's Wedding!
My little sister got married!!!!!! So crazy! It was so fun though, I don't have any pictures from the actual wedding day yet, but we had a blast while she was up here. She got married in the Seattle Washington Temple so my family got to come up and stay with me. So great!

Getting pedicures!

Alright, seriously, I haven't updated my blog for like 2 months, but WHAT IN THE HECK IS UP WITH THE NEW BLOGGER?!?!?!?!? If it's this big of a pain in the butt, I may not be doing it as often as I wanted, please help me! Love love :)

MKIG

I suggest to all of my friends who have kids to visit this website: mkig.com . Such a fun website! My sister-in-law is the publisher and it's just a whole bunch of funny quotes from kids. You can make an account and write some of the things that your kids have said. I love it, super cute.

Safeway

Oh the beloved Safeway......
As you all know from my last post, Ashlyn has been potty training. Notice the "ing" in training. Yes, I should have noticed that as well. But despite knowing that she is "in training" and not "trained," I decided to go down below for our weekly playgroup/McDonald's/shopping trip with just panties for Ashlyn. As we can all see where this is going, I will just get straight to the point. While I was browsing the freezer section of this store, looking for a couponing deal I was going to pull off, yes, yes my friends, Ashlyn pooped in her "Princess Panties." So with Marley crying in the cart and Ashlyn with terrified bulging eyes, we made our way to the family restroom, located at the back of the store. Ignoring the 3 signs that say, "Do not take shopping carts into the restrooms," I wheeled my shopping cart into that bathroom halfway full of food and locked the door. Adding to the chaos, of course I hadn't brought in my diaper bag because we had just came from McDonald's where Ashlyn had gone pee and I had changed Marley's diaper already. So I took off Ashlyn's pants and undies, put the.......______ in the toilet ;), and threw those panties away because there was no way in heck I was taking those things home with me on a 45 minute drive. Ashlyn was then spanked (yes people, Ashlyn has been spanked, not very hard, but she didn't like it), and got her bum cleaned with a wet paper towel.
We finished shopping with Marley crying, Ashlyn whining, and me feeling like I had run a marathon. As we got in line, Ashlyn proceeded to run away to look at the Easter stuff set out, so I go grab her very nicely by the arm (I was very nice this time) and bring her back to the cart with her screaming "Let go of my neck!", while people are looking at me like I'm an abusive mother. She then ripped a pack of batteries off the wall, of course, to have the package break and 12 batteries go flying across the store. With those same terrified bulging eyes, she looks at me, and I, being too tired to be mad, tell her to pick them up please. As we're checking out, the lady is giving me really weird looks and not talking to me, and then I didn't get offered any help out to the car. We drive the 45 minutes home and we all take a nap and wake up in much, much, MUCH better moods.
Typing this up, it is really hilarious. I KNOW you've all had these days though and while they are en route, they are not exactly funny. Morale of this story, ALWAYS take a diaper bag into the store with you, ignore signs, and don't think about what the person next to you is thinking about you. Haha, I love my kids :)

Wow...

Wow....it's been so long since I updated my blog that I almost don't know where to start! That is really, really sad. I guess that I can start out by saying sorry. Haha, I really do feel bad for my family and friends that want to know what's going on in our lives!
Life has just been really busy! During the month of January, we went to a lot of basketball games, played in the snow, and I ended up driving to Idaho to surprise and see my family for just over a week. It was so great. Living up here in Washington has really made me come to appreciate my family and my really good friends. Washington has proven to be a really good fit for Jared and us though. Jared loves his teaching and coaching job and I've been loving staying home with the girls. We have a schedule that keeps us sane during the week :), which includes a couple of playgroups and going to the library, also play-school and some really fun crafts that we do in an awesome craft room! Seriously though, it does get hard sometimes. I miss being a couple blocks from my family. I miss my perfect little house. I miss my friends and the establishment and security that I had in Rexburg. I miss being only 3 minutes from any store I needed to get to (here, it's at least 45 minutes to the nearest Wal-Mart/grocery store/Costco!). But I've also come to be a more.......responsible? mom I guess I would say. Jared and I have really had to rely on each other and I always knew and felt that he was, but now, I can really say that he is my best friend. Through everything, we'll always be together and we'll always have each other. Obviously, things change in life, even unexpectedly. I wasn't really expecting to move up to Darrington when we did, but it happened, and the only thing that stayed the same in my life was the fact that Jared and the girls are still with me. Adjusting has been hard, but good, and the Lord definitely knows what we need to do with our lives more than we do. Learning to listen to the spirit though has been hard too, but good for me.
Anyways, sorry about the spill :) Well, a couple weeks ago I started potty training Ashlyn which actually has gone really well! We just stayed home for 6 days straight and she ran around naked! (Well, with a dress on). It was awesome, and now, she wears her little panties that are so freaking adorable on her bum. She does still have an accident maybe once every 4 days, but other than that, she's doing really good! Marley is crawling around and eating everything. I've never seen a child that loves food more than her. Haha, seriously, she eats AT LEAST 3 times what Ashlyn does at any given meal, it's hilarious. And the great thing is, she loves ALL food. I haven't given her a food yet that she doesn't like. Downfall, she has gotten to the point where she almost refuses to eat baby food. She does have 2 teeth and loves Ashlyn sooooo much. Ashlyn loves her so much too and they are just best friends. Marley usually ends up trying to eat Ashlyn though :) The funny thing about Marley is that she is so sensitive. Anytime I take something away from her or tell her "no, no!" she gets the saddest look on her face like I've personally offended her! She has also started throwing tantrums where she scrunches up her nose and pokes her lips out and makes this buzzing/rattling sound that comes from her nose. Hilarious. Our "adopted" (foreign exchange student) son's name is Alan who came to live with us at the beginning of January. He absolutely loves Ashlyn and Marley and they share the same feelings towards him. Sometimes, Marley only wants him. Jared is doing really well and getting lots more rest now that basketball season is over :). He definitely misses it though, I'm glad that he's at least got college basketball and the NBA to watch right now to ease him out of it. He's glad to have more time to spend with the girls and me though, it was hard for Ashlyn to only see him for an hour a day.
So, I know that you really just want to see pictures so here are a lot of them!

Yes, I'm teaching Ashlyn to dance :) And yes, those are floral tights that I am wearing! haha.
Every morning Ashlyn crawls into Marley's bed with her, so cute.

Going to play in the snow, as you can see, Marley does not like this idea.

Our son going on a date (sniff) he's getting so old! :)
Yes, I am teaching Ashlyn Kung-Fu.
Hanging out around the house.

The yummiest french toast I ever made! Cream cheese, blueberries, banana's, and whipped cream with syrup. Ohhhhhh so delightful........I think we'll have this tomorrow now that I'm thinking about it......

Idaho
We went bowling while we were in Idaho and Ashlyn loved it! They even had shoes her size!

Sammy....so cute!!!!

As you can see, I won! 106 baby! Ashlyn got 69! Not bad for her first time bowling!
Taking baths at Halmoni and Grandpa's house.
Wyatt got a job working at Broulims bagging groceries, what a stud.
Ashlyn and Marley LOVED sitting in this bucket and being carried around by Co-co, Wyatt, or "Gampa."

Sammy really misses my girls, she loves them so much and they love her too :)

Playing with cousin Stevi at Leo's Place.

Oh yes, we fed the ducks.

Ashlyn loves McDonald's no matter what state we are in.

Jared was sooooo happy when we got back from Idaho! He missed us a lot, he didn't have hardly anything to do while we were gone!
Last basketball game of the season!
LOGGER POWER!

Oh Ashlyn, our little fashion diva. She still needs to learn a thing or two...socks with sandals, tisk, tisk ;) I love it!
Of course Marley is eating and of course she is still hungry!

Trying to walk!

Playing outside in the snow!
