Happy Valentine's Day!

Well Valentine's Day started out just like a pretty typical Saturday, except that Jared got to spend more time with me and Ashlyn because it's a 3 day weekend, HURRAY! Ashlyn peed everywhere so she had to take a bath, which turned out to be her first bubble bath-Jared's idea:) Later on, Jared and her got to take a nap together which was absolutely adorable. Jared gave me a sweet card and also.......Florence's chocolates!  Funny Story: Ever since me and Jared have been engaged, I've always talked about how great Florence's chocolate's are. My mom only gets them every Valentine's Day and Christmas because their pretty expensive. I told Jared, "The way to a woman's heart is with Florence's chocolates." Do you think Jared ever bought me Florence's chocolates? No, haha, it's Jared. But finally, I dropped enough hints that he got them for me this Valentine's Day and I was so excited! It only took 2 years and there's no going back:) Don't get me wrong, Jared does so many other sweet things for me everyday, he's the best thing that has ever happened in my life and I love him so much. 

During the afternoon, we got to make sugar cookies, that was a lot of fun. They turned out perfect too! I was so excited, so we took some to our new neighbors that are living in my grandma's house, it was really nice to meet them. 

Later, we went to eat at Big Jud's for dinner with my parents. Jared and I have ate at Big Jud's every Valentine's Day because it's not your most typical place to eat for Valentine's Day. The first time was when we were engaged. We made shirts before we went and Jared's said "I'm with her," with an arrow pointing to the side. Mine said, "He's stalking me!" haha, good times. Anyways, it just kind of became tradition!

This is one-whole-pound-of-meat-burger! It's called a "Big Jud." We get it every year because it's shaped like a heart (well, it's supposed to be a heart).

Alright I'll be the first to admit that I'm not very consistent at updating our blog, but it gets done once in a while! Haha, Christmas vacation was great, we went up to Washington to visit Jared's parents and family and while there we discovered that Ashlyn weighed 17.5 pounds which means that she probably weighs close to 19 pounds now! She's getting really big and we just love having her with us. Jared and I are both back in school, Jared is doing his student teaching at Skyline High School in Idaho Falls and will graduate in April! I'm planning on doing my student teaching this summer, hopefully here, but we won't find out until March. Going to school and having a baby has been really hard for us because when we're together and with Ashlyn, we just want to play with her and be with each other! I know that I couldn't do it without my mom and sister though, it's been a real blessing in our lives to be going to school here and getting our education. As you can see, I'm not the best with blog and I can't figure out how to rotate the pictures so you may have to slightly tilt your head:)

We recently discovered that Ashlyn  LOVES baby puffs. As you can see from his face, Jared was the mastermind to this mess:)

We also use them as bribery to crawl:) She hasn't quite got it down yet.

Jared and I went to the bookstore and bought me a new bag for my teaching, Ashlyn fit perfectly in it! Whenever we would walk by anyone and Ashlyn would make a noise, they had to double take cuz they weren't sure where the sound came from:) haha

Ashlyn's sitting up all by herself! She's really excited about it. And she has rolled over more from her front to her back because she hates being on her stomach, it's hilarious:)

OUT TO THE DUMP!:)

This is Ashlyn's first time out to the dump. Jared finished raking all the leaves in our yard so we got to take a trip out there and I got a candybar:) haha, it's tradition. As you can see, Ashlyn is ecstatic.

Getting ready for christmas!

Last Friday me and Jared and Ashlyn went over to Andrew and Rachel Ashmore's house to make ginger bread houses!(actually graham cracker houses with frosting:) It was a lot of fun though! Corrine and Kris Hayashi, and Ethan and Katrina Blevins were there as well.  These are some pictures from it!

CHRISTMAS TREE!

This is me and Jared with our Christmas tree! We went up to Ashton and cut it down with Blaine and Katie Bockholt. In the process, Jared managed to tear his front bumper cover off. Supposedly he was showing off for me, but I think he just didn't know that there were that many rocks out in the field:)

The LOOK of innocence

Today one of my friends came over and babysat Ashlyn for me while I went to school. When I got back, she told me that Ashlyn had pooped while I was gone and that she was much happier. After she left, I was going about my business and I had to change Ashlyn's bottom before her nap. I put her on the changing table, opened up her diaper, and to my chagrin she peed every where on that. I then proceeded to clean her and put her in her crib naked. (Now you have to understand that Ashlyn only goes poop once every 2 or 3 days and she had already gone earlier today). I thought to myself, "Oh, she looks so cute naked! I'm gonna go find my camera and take a picture." Of course when I found the camera the batteries were dead so I had to find new ones. When I finally got back to Ashlyn this is what had happened.....

Of course Ashlyn looks so innocent but she had BLASTED the crib with her green feces!!! :) So I had to take her out of her crib, clean her back with a wipe, then put her on the twin bed in her room while I went to run the water in the tub. When I got back, Ashlyn had peed all over the twin bed! So I now had a peed on changing table, a poop blasted crib, and a peed on twin bed......or in other words, a VERY stinky baby room. I couldn't help but laugh as I had to put poor little innocent Ashlyn on a towel on the floor because there was nowhere clean to put her:) Of course Jared laughed hysterically when I told him the story because he was at school and didn't have to smell it or clean it up. I guess that's what babies are for, to keep their mommy's lives very interesting:)

Alright, well we all know that I'm not big into scrapbooking and putting a lot of things on with my pics, but here's a whole bunch of pics from like the last 2 months (sorry I'm so bad at updating) of all the things we've been doing to have fun!

AUGUST

Ashlyn had a lot of fun playing with cousin Mad Max, Princess Josie, and Gunnar Kanute at Andrew and Jordan Lydia's wedding. Ashlyn's face pretty much sum's up how much fun it was:) haha, it actually was a lot of fun to be with all the family, plus, Ashlyn and Gunnar got to take a bath together!

While we were in Washington for Andrew and Jordan Lydia's reception, me and Jared and Ashlyn decided to go to Seattle and see the Aquarium! If you haven't been here already, you should definitely go, it's totally worth it, as you can see, Jared and Ashlyn got to ride a real shark!

SEPTEMBER 

These are our friends Amy and Ron, Amy really loves Ashlyn, she helps me babysit her on Mondays:)

Jared's beard after not shaving for 3 weeks! He kind of became a mountain man when he went to Alaska with my dad and his. They also got to see a bear and whales!

Ashlyn's goal for the Trimmer Grimmer program is to get a double chin by Christmas, and convince mommy that it's time to get pants that fit;)

OCTOBER

As you can see from these pictures I'm not very good with using technology, hence the reason they are all on separate lines. But in the top one, Ashlyn just got done eating sweet carrots baby food, haha, she was a little out of it and had it all up her nose! Also, Jared decided that he wanted to use Ashlyn's costume for Halloween......he was jealous:) 

Our friend Katrina Blevins is having her baby in a couple weeks so we had all of our friends over this last Sunday for dinner which was a lot of fun! Me, Corrine Hayashi, and Rachel Ashmore are all touching her belly, oh the joys of being prego:)
