The last 2 months in the Grimmer Home......

There had better be a lot of love coming after this blog update because it has taken me forever! Haha, I understand why I don't update my blog very often, it's because it is a pain in the butt! I'm really retarded at ordering the pictures so it just took me an hour to manually do it and don't even get me started on rotating!:) But I love all of you so I did it!

This is Jared's idea of feeding the ducks...... haha:)

Alright, this picture was taken probably a month ago and my belly is a lot bigger now! I know, I look sexy vacuuming right? haha.

These are some pictures of our new house! Not very good ones, the kitchen is haneous and I can't wait to redo it but it works for now! The pink one is obviously Ashlyn's room. Ashlyn is putting her hand print into our first laid cement pad for our dogs! The one of her on the couch is when she is watching elmo, don't mess with Ashlyn when she's watching elmo on Saturday mornings......

These are some Halloween pictures. Ashlyn and I dressed up as butterfly's and went to Boo at the Zoo with Jared and my family. So fun!

All these pictures were taken in Hawaii when we went there a little over a week ago for Thanksgiving. It was awesome! Jared's parents live out there on the beach so we spent a whole lot of time in the water and Ashlyn loved that she didn't have to wear hardly any clothes! Coming back to -10* was a bit of a shock for all of us:) The picture of the cereal is Lucky Charms, after Ashlyn has eaten every marshmallow out of them and is asking for more.

Home for the Holidays.....Hawaii was really nice but it was great to come back to our own home and decorate for Christmas. We painted our front room and got our hand-picked and cut down Christmas tree with our stockings up so that was so fun!

Oh the joys of the season......

So this first picture was Jared taking a picture of me while I was getting ready for the second one, he told me to suck my butt in! How dare he:)

So I really hate pictures at this point! I'm gaining weight in different places than I did with Ashlyn and I feel really fat ok! Haha, pregnancy is going really great though and we're so excited to have another girl. We've already decided on a name for her which is Marley May Grimmer. Lot's of "m"s but we love it. I told Jared that he's not allowed to call her that until after she's out of my belly though because it really freaks me out when my belly's name is Marley. haha.

Alright, show me the love.......:)jk, love you all.

If only he knew....:)

Quick update: Jared is currently dancing and singing at the top of his lungs to Backstreet Boys......"I want it that way!" Haha, I'll try to get some pics.

Ashlyn + Giant Inflatables = Lots of fun

Last week, Jared and I had some time to hang out with each other and Ashlyn because we were on potato harvest (I love Idaho:). Thursday we didn't have any plans so we decided to try out the new inflatables at The Rex/AFEC. It was so much fun! Ashlyn loved jumping around on them and for $2.50 for an hour, it was totally worth it to watch her have that much fun. Her favorite part was the slides. I don't know what they put on that plastic but it must be Armor-all because seriously, they flew down them! Jared took her on most of them because jumping around while being prego just really isn't that fun:). I know that I don't have any pictures of the belly yet, they're coming!:)

After the inflatables, we were walking out and Ashlyn saw a car with Kermit the Frog in it so we decided to let her ride in it and it was so cute, it was her first time really on a ride so she had lots of fun.

This is Ashlyn ready for bed after a fun, fun, fun day with Mommy and Daddy. We loved hanging out with her and I can't wait until I can do it more.

We got a dog!

So here's the story. We went out to Wal-Mart, minding our own business, when all of a sudden we see all these kids gathered around this box. We didn't pay much attention when we were walking in, but on the way out, we decided to look and discovered that these people were giving away dogs! Jared was like, "Should we get one?" and I was like, "Sure!" So we got one, later realizing that this whole time that we haven't had a dog, I've been the "voice of reason," because Jared has asked me many a times whether or not we should get a dog and I have said no. So we bought him some food and got him a collar so he's officially ours. Well, when something is yours, you have to name it something very special. So we thought and thought and finally decided to name our new dog after Jared's favorite book.................

CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we now have a dog named captain underpants:) Haha, right now he is staying at my parents house but we made an offer on a house last week and we're hoping to move in soon. We'll keep you updated.
Ashlyn doesn't really like Captain Underpants because he's bigger than her.

Jared was really excited to get a dog, but he's realizing that it's going to take a lot of time and a lot of money.

Since I have been out of school for the last week on potato harvest break, Ashlyn and I have had soooooo much fun together! I love being able to stay home with her and it definitely confirms my desire to be a stay at home mom after this year of teaching. We've kind of had a routine this week and one of the things we do after she wakes up from her naps is go feed the ducks at the nature park. Fun, right? Well, not the last few times! I don't know what it is but I think the ducks can smell fear! Ever since I was little I've had a fear for ducks. All the pictures of me feeding the ducks with my parents is either me crying or me on my dad's shoulders. So, with Ashlyn, I've tried to face my fears and this is what happens.............

Not exactly ideal! Haha, I think that the ducks are also VERY hungry right now because my mom hasn't been going down every day to feed them, and it's also getting close to winter. They don't normally act like this but this last week has been very interesting:) Ashlyn was scared too.

Yay for the slide!

So Ashlyn has recently become very attached to her slide. My cousin Heidi was over one day when I was talking about buying Ashlyn a slide and she said that her old one was in her dad's basement so she brought it over! Totally awesome:) If you can't really tell, there is Oreo all over Ashlyn's face too, this is her favorite cookie:) Her dad has taught her well.

Danged that freakin camera cord!

So I was really excited because I thought that I found the camera cord to the computer but I went to plug it in and it was a cell phone charger that attaches to the computer:( Sad day. Anyways, hopefully I can find it cuz we've got some way cute pictures of Ashlyn to post.
Just a couple new things have been happening, Jared and I both started teaching school a few weeks ago. He's teaching high school math and I'm teaching part-time Kindergarten. It's great, we're both really busy and I miss Ashlyn a ton, but it's really good for her to go play with other kids, and it's only for 5 hours a day.
We didn't buy the house that we initially were going to, but we're looking at few more and we see potential! We're really excited to find the house that fits us, and also to stop living out of boxes! We've been living out of boxes for like a month and a half and I'm sick of it! haha.
We also just found out that I'm prego again! We're so excited. Here's the story. I initially didn't get the Kindergarten job so Jared and I decided that it was time to move on with our family. I went off birth control, but 3 weeks later, the principal came and offered me the job and I took it, not thinking that I could have got pregnant because with Ashlyn it took us like 2 months. Then a couple weeks ago I was sitting in our lawn chair next to Jared. We were watching Ashlyn play and I couldn't believe how danged tired I was! I was also starving, but we had just eaten like an hour before. Then, it struck me, Holy crap I think I'm pregnant! So we went and bought 2 testers and they both turned out positive! Way exciting, but SO surprising. I went to the doctor a week ago and got an ultrasound done and he told me that I was 10 weeks along which made me 8 weeks along when I found out! haha, so now I'm 11 weeks pregnant and seriously, I look like I did when I was about 6 1/2 months along with Ashlyn, my belly is so big! I haven't gained any weight though so that makes me feel a little better about being so huge. I just can't believe it. And the doctor thinks that it's another little girl because the heart rate is so high! We're so happy/overwhelmed. I'm going to have the baby end of March which is right during the middle of the school year. I'm just not thinking about it right now:)
As for Ashlyn, I don't know how well she's going to do with another baby in the house. I went over to see my friend right before she moved to Missouri and she had a little 4 week old baby that she let me hold. Let's just say that Ashlyn was NOT very impressed. She started screaming and running around and tried to hit the baby! I'm a little nervous for her..........
I'm really sad that the summer weather is over too. I like fall because of the pretty leaves and colors but I get really sad just thinking about winter:(

The one that got away... thankfully!

So this is a picture of the house we didn't buy....

Amanda will probably take it off of here once she realizes I've updated the post.  Which, if anyone is familiar with us, might take till the first of the year.  We were supposed to close on the house while we were on vacation, then come back and move right in.  In fact, Amanda and I had spent quite a bit of time and effort getting most of our house packed up before the trip so we could move out when we got home.  Needless to say we found out two days before closing that there are flooding problems with the neighbor and our crawl space.

So we're in the hunt again....

Washington Trip

So we went up to Washington for a final summer vacation before we started teaching.  We didn't actually go to the Space Needle this time.

We rode up to my parents lake house in eastern Washington for some fishing, swimming, boating, and eating (we may not show it, but we Grimmers can put the food away - and we start them young).

             Ashlyn's eating a PB&J

What boating trip is a success unless there's some beautiful girl leaning over the bow with the wind whipping her hair yelling "I'm the King of the World!"

With a company such as Wyatt, Cody, Bodey (Samantha's BF), Andrew Ashmore (a friend of ours) and myself; and a giant water trampoline, somebody had to be the king of the mat!  It took just about everyone to toss Bodey into the water.

From Lake Palmer we took the North Cascades Highway (Hwy 20) back over to Darrington.  On the way we stopped at the top of Rainy Pass to take a few pictures.

Just as we were coming of part of the pass and into Winthrop we stopped and said hello to some of the locals.

The Day Before we left we made a trip out to San Juan Island, which is part of the San Juan Islands in the Pudget Sount Area.  It was about an hours ferry out to Friday Harbor.  While there spotted many wild creatures:

While on the island we went out to Lime Kiln Point to see if there were any whales hanging out.

And then we went out to Roche Harbor.

We had quite a bit of fun throwing a football around, playing with Ashlyn and taking pictures  every once in a while.

The worst part of the whole trip was getting stuck behind the slow poke ahead of us.
